Join our community of animal lovers for our Third Annual Doggie Dash on Saturday, September 16th at Kensington Park for a fun-filled morning for the whole family at one of our biggest events of the year. Choose either a fun three-mile run or a one-mile walk route around the beautiful Kensington Metropark along with hundreds of other animal lovers and their canine companions. We’ll have lots of after-walk/run events activities including:

  • Kids’ sprint contest
  • Costume and talent contests for dogs
  • Light refreshments

Your participation in the Walk helps us rescue, rehabilitate and re-home hundreds of homeless animals.

The event will run from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at Kensington Metro Park  in South Martindale Beach with a start time of 10:00 am for the 1 mile walk, 10:15 am for the 5K run, and fun activities following at 11:00 am. Registration/check in begins at 8:30 am.  The event will be held next to South Martindale at the East Boat Launch where you can pull into the launch parking lot.

If you have adopted a dog from us, you have a special invitation to join us for the event! We’ll have a special bandana “alumus” so your dog can be recognized as one very special pet! And you and your dog will be at the lead at the start of our walk/run.

We want to make this the biggest and best Doggie Dash so far.  We encourage you to increase the power of your participation by asking your friends and family to support your cause through your fundraising efforts. OR, form a team to raise even more! Its a great way to bring additional exposure for your company.  This year, we will have prize incentives for achieving levels of donations as well as the grand prize for those raising the most pledges as individuals and for teams!

All registrants receive an official Doggie Dash t-shirt.

You don’t need a dog to take part, just a desire to help animals in need.

Start your fundraising journey today by registering or finding a team or walker to support. We will have small incentive prizes for those fundraising at milestone points.

Ifyou are unable to participate, you can still help the animals at the HSLC by making a general donation to the Doggie Dash 2017.

Also, for those donating to teams and individuals,  don’t forget to have them ask their employer (even if they are a retiree) if they match funds for non-profit organizations.
